Private onsen experience offered a perfect retreat after a long day. The communal fridge and microwave were handy for storing quick meals or snacks after a tired day out.
Location isn't the most convenient-the bus ride from the Tobu-Nikko station followed by a 5-10 minute walk felt long, especially with the uphill return. The shared bathrooms could become a bit inconvenient during peak hours. The toilets were surprisingly loud, easily waking you up at night.

Comfort and serenity near temples
Staying at Turtle Inn Nikko was a good experience, with a serene ambiance accentuated by the sounds of nature. The staff offered fantastic dining recommendations, ensuring each meal was a treat!
While the private onsen was wonderful, I did find the shared bathroom setup slightly inconvenient at times, especially during busy hours when others might be using it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our modest rooms in this hotel.
The hotel was fancy and the staff was superfriendly, it had marvellous location in historic area. Location: the venue was close to the attractions and which goes to the station. Ate at Futaba, it's at a moderate distance from the venue. We had wonderful time at the hotel and would still consider staying here again...

We had a good 2 nights stay. The location was convenient in a very very nice area, near to three restaurants, many tourist spots and convenience store. Moreover, there was a lake within 10 mins walk from the hotel. We enjoyed being in this property.

The Dim Sum at nearby Takumian was next level, like a flavor bomb on your taste buds! The staff recommended some fantastic local spots, and the private onsen was a perfect escape after a day of adventures.
The futons were a bit firm for someone like me with back pain, so I had to layer my blankets underneath. An extra futon or two would have been a game changer!

The location is a standout, within walking distance of major sites. The friendly, attentive staff offered great tips for local attractions and dining options. The shared bathroom setup can be inconvenient at peak times, and the loud toilet sounds were quite distracting. The breakfast with fresh cheese bread was a pleasant surprise, fueling the day's adventures.

Great location for temples and shrines. Noisy toilet sounds were a bit distracting.

The onsen experience was good, a perfect retreat after a long day exploring. The shared bathroom facilities could be a bit inconvenient during busy times, and the toilets were noticeably loud, which could be disruptive at night. The lack of toiletries such as toothbrushes detracted slightly from the overall comfort of the stay.

The private onsen was perfect after our visits to the nearby temples and waterfalls. The staff was super helpful, letting us store our luggage while we explored. Supermarkets and restaurants are just a short walk away. I really recommend getting a taxi from the train station since it's easier than taking the bus.
One minor downside was the toilets, pretty loud. Definitely something to keep in mind for late-night visits.
